Description:
Reddish-brown, but is somewhat darker in colour than the American Cockroach, for which it can be mistaken. The cerci of the Brown Cockroach are stout and triangular in shape, whereas the American Cockroach cerci are long and thin.

Fully winged.
Food:
Omnivorous.
Habitat:
Native to Africa, the Brown Cockroach has been introduced to many parts of the world. In cold climates, it cannot survive outside houses.
