Description:
Green or brown. Green individuals are smooth on the outside, brown ones are rough. Antennae have 20-25 segments.
Size:
Females 65 - 100 mm.
Wings:
Wingless.
Food:
Herbivorous.
Habitat:
Native to Southern Europe, the species lives on bushes and shrubs in warm locations. In the UK records from garden hedges in Devon and Cornwall.
Phenology:
In their native range, adults may be found from June to December.
