Speckeld Bush-cricket in Yorkshire/Lincolnshire

Hi

I have recently taken over as Yorkshire Natueralists' Union Orthoptera Recorder and am compiling up to date maps.  In 2010, a large colony of Speckked Bush-crickets was found just west of Hull on the north bank of the River Humber.  Another much smaller colony was found in 2011 at North Cave Wetlands LNR about 8 miles north west of the first site.  I spent some time with a bat detector trying to locate any sites between but had no luck.  There are a couple of recent records from the Dearne Valley in West Yorkshire suggesting that it might be breeding there.

I would like to work out where these colonies originated and am looking for recent sightings in Lincolnshire (especially North Lincs) and the Midlands north to South Yorkshire.

Any recent sightings in these regions will be very welcome.  I can be contacted at the address below or by email: edc1@ohm.york.ac.uk or david.chesmore@york.ac.uk.

Thanks
